WHAT TO EXPECT

When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. Red Bluff Animal Hospital in Pasadena, TX, has assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. Our veterinary facility is clean, comfortable, and efficient. Call 281-487-1101 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. Our veterinarians will check the health of your pet from head to tail. This visit may include a full physical exam, a heartworm and intestinal parasite screen and vaccines if needed. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns with your veterinarian.

If your pet is injured or ill, bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral changes. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Our veterinarians are interested in any information you have.

In some circumstances, our veterinarians will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.

SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS

We see scheduled appointments Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 5:30pm, and Saturday, 7am - 12:00pm. New clients should plan on arriving about 10 minutes early to take care of paperwork. Please bring any medical records that you have, including vaccination and health history and previous medications, so that we can add it to your pet's health record. Our receptionist will check you in and you will be called to the exam room when it becomes available. Most appointments last between 15-30 minutes but may vary depending on the nature of the appointment.

DROP OFF APPOINTMENTS

For your convenience, established clients can make an appointment to drop your pet off for care. This allows busy pet parents to receive quality veterinary care without inconveniencing your schedule. Patients can be dropped off throughout the day, Monday through Friday, but please call to schedule a drop-off appointment in advance.

SURGICAL APPOINTMENTS

Surgical patients are checked in throughout the day. In most cases you will be asked to withhold food from your pet after midnight the night before their procedures. When you arrive, you will be asked to sign a surgical consent form. The doctor may examine your pet prior to your departure and will call you when the procedure is complete. If anything unexpected arises you will be contacted immediately. Once your pet has had time to recover from the anesthesia, a pick up time will be scheduled. This usually falls between 3:00pm-5:00pm. Upon departure, you will receive detailed instructions for providing care for your pet at home. Patients receiving dental care must be seen in advance of the procedure to receive antibiotics.

BOARDING RESERVATIONS

Boarding is primarily done at our sister facility, Red Bluff Pet Resort. In extreme cases where a pet is ill or needs extensive daily medical care, boarding may be available for established Red Bluff Animal Hospital clients. Please speak to a member of our staff if you think your pet may need boarding services.
